Registration
Individuals can register online or mail a registration form accompanied with payment before the deadline (see current schedule for registration deadlines).

Registration forms received after a course has reached capacity (40 people) are placed on a waiting list. BB&T will notify individuals immediately when space becomes available. If a participant is waitlisted, the Department will contact them regarding their payment.
Hotel Reservations
BB&T has negotiated a limited number of rooms for each training course. Please make every effort to reserve your hotel room before the registration deadline (see current schedules for registration deadlines). After the deadline, the BB&T Training room rate is not guaranteed. To receive the negotiated rate, reference BB&T Training.
Travel/Course Schedule
Participants are responsible for their own travel expenses. The first day of each course begins promptly at 9:00 a.m. Homework is assigned each evening and takes approximately three hours to complete. Please plan your schedule and travel arrangements accordingly.

Confirmation
Online and mail-in registration forms will receive an email confirming their attendance.

Pre-session Assignment
A pre-session assignment will be mailed to confirmed participants two to three weeks prior to the start of each course. Assignment must be completed prior to the start of the course.

Calculator
NDC instructors use menu driven financial calculators, such as Hewlett-Packard models 10B and 17B-II (10B is available at Office Depot for approximately $30.00). NDC recommends that participants use one of these calculators, or a similar model.

Prerequisites
Registrants must meet established prerequisites. Should you not qualify for the registered course, the NDC Training Division will contact you directly.

Cancellation Policy
Confirmed participants who cannot attend a class must call (704) 954 1106, between 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. You may also e-mail Mitzi Alexander.
Cancellation Fee: $125 (See substitution policy)
To cancel a hotel reservation, call the hotel directly. Familiarize yourself with the hotel cancellation policy to avoid charges.
BB&T and NDC reserve the right to reschedule or cancel any course.

Substitution Policy
A substitute may attend any training class as long as they meet the required prerequisites and have some involvement in community economic development.
To avoid the cancellation fee ($125), confirmed participants may choose to send a substitute or receive a credit to attend another course. Please call (704) 954 1106 or email Mitzi Alexander to notify of any changes in confirmed participants. Substitutions and credits are subject to approval.
